  • Road closed from 6am Monday 8th to 6pm Friday 12th

Northbound road closure for Weigh Bridge works

Paekākāriki to Pukerua Bay Coast Road 

  • Sunday 7th and Thursday 11th night, 11pm – 3am 
  • Stop/go traffic controls in place for wire median rope works 
  • Wednesday and Thursday during the day, 8am – 4:30pm 
  • Stop/go traffic controls in place for rock scaling works

Plimmerton, between Plimmerton Roundabout and Airlie Road 

  • Tuesday to Thursday night, 7pm – 5am 
  • Northbound lane closure for testing 

North of Plimmerton Roundabout

  • Sunday 7th and Monday 8th, 8pm to 4am  
  • Northbound lane closure for paving work 

Porirua, Mungavin, Northbound On-ramp CLOSED

  • Monday night, 11.59pm – 3am 

Northbound on-ramp closure for traffic counting wires installation

Power Pole Replacements Teihana Rd West and Rawhiti Rd From 22 Sept to 10 Oct and Te Motu-Teihana and Takutua Rd 24 Sept

Wellington Electricity (WE) will be replacing power poles on Teihana Rd West and Rawhiti Rd to Kapekape Pl between 22 September and 10 October

WE advises that to carry out this work safety, traffic management will be set up around the work areas:
1 Teihana Road West will have one lane closed and a one-way detour in place (via Rawhiti and Wairaka Roads)
2 Rawhiti Road will have a 3-way stop-go operating at the intersection with Kapekape Place. There will also be some minor works at 158 Rawhiti Road.
3 WE will also need to disconnect power to some residents during some of the work. If your power is going to be impacted, your electricity retailer will send a notification closer to the time confirming the outage date and time frame.
The dates and times for the planned work are as follows, along with the associated impact to residents.

Day 1: Monday 22 September

12 – 14 Teihana Road West Installing isolation links Temporary traffic management will be set up from 7:00am, with the one-way detour in place for 4 hours between 7:00am and 5:00 pm

134 Rawhiti Road Installing isolation links. Temporary traffic management will be set up from 7:00am, with a three-way stop-go in place for 4 hours between 7:00am and 5:00pm.

Day 2: Wednesday 24 September

6A – 14 Teihana Road West Pole replacement Temporary traffic management will be set up from 7:00am, with the one-way detour in place for 8 hours between 7:00am and 6:00pm.

Te Motu Road, Teihana Road & Takutai Road Pole replacement Power outage for some residents from 8:00am to 4:00pm

Day 3: Thursday 25 September

12 – 14 Teihana Road West Removing isolation links. Temporary traffic management will be set up from 7:00am, with the one-way detour in place for 4 hours between 7:00am and 6:00pm.

Day 4: Tuesday 7 October
Rawhiti Road, Kotipu Place Pole replacements Power outage for some residents from 8:00am to 4:00pm
134 – 140 Rawhiti Road Pole replacements Temporary traffic management will be set up from 7:00am, with a three- way stop-go in place for 8 hours between 7:00am and 5:00pm.
158 Rawhiti Road Minor works. Temporary traffic management will be set up for minor works at this location.

Day 5: Friday 10 October
134 Rawhiti Road Removing isolation links. Temporary traffic management will be set up from 7:00am, with a three-way stop-go in place for 4 hours between 7:00am and 5:00pm.
