Our Community
Pukerua Bay is a community rich in families and children. It has a unique village character, being a small semi-rural community at a seaside location, where most people know each other. Considering our relatively small population, we have many clubs and organisations catering to different interests.
The marine environment and the iconic landscape and feel of Pukerua Bay have been inspiring writers, artists and our most famous past resident, movie director Peter Jackson, so it is no surprise that there continue to be many artists and arts & crafts-related small businesses residing in Pukerua Bay.
